Even though straight men in western heterosexual spaces use the words gay jokingly, and nervously, when doing masti with other men, they talk of it as an identity, as in "sometimes i think they're gay", which has the clear implication that an average normal, straight man does not have sexual feelings for another man.

Whereas, when straight men in men's spaces use these words, its always in a sense that says, any man can do 'gay' sex. So, they'll say we're doing gay sex, not we're gay.

Also notice, that these straight men from the West are doing sexual masti when there is no woman present. When there'a a woman in the men's space, men become extremely conscious of her presence, and they know that she has the power to seriously identify and isolate them as gay. So, they'll not try this when a girl is here.

In this case, they have made a small men's space within the heterosexual society.
